1. Overview

OgbDrive uses cookies, local storage, session storage, service worker cache, and similar browser or device technologies to operate our website, PWA, Android Trusted Web Activity, dashboards, authentication, preferences, notifications, and performance features.

2. Technologies We Use

  • Cookies: small files stored by your browser for sessions, preferences, security, and app functionality.
  • Local and session storage: browser storage used for app state, authentication/session support, registration drafts, notification preferences, and dashboard usability.
  • Service worker cache: PWA storage used to make the app faster and support app-like loading behavior.
  • Push subscription storage: information needed to send push notifications when you enable notifications.
  • Third-party provider storage: authentication, payment, upload, maps, or notification providers may use their own cookies or storage when their services are loaded.

3. Why We Use These Technologies

  • Essential operation: sign-in sessions, OTP/login support, dashboard access, security, and account state.
  • App performance: faster page loading, PWA behavior, service worker caching, and stable app navigation.
  • Preferences: remember role, notification choices, UI state, registration progress, and form state where applicable.
  • Bookings and drivers: support user booking flows, driver onboarding, driver availability, and job management.
  • Payments and uploads: enable secure payment flows through Paystack and file/document uploads through Cloudinary.
  • Location and maps: help load Google Maps/address features when you use location-related functions.
  • Notifications: support push notifications, notification preferences, and delivery status records.
  • Security and debugging: detect errors, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and protect accounts.

4. Essential and Optional Storage

Some storage is essential for OgbDrive to work. For example, authentication, dashboard access, security, and PWA functions may fail if essential cookies or storage are blocked.

Optional technologies, such as push notifications or location access, usually require your permission. You can disable these permissions through your browser, Android settings, or app settings where available.

5. Third-Party Services

OgbDrive may load or communicate with third-party services that use their own cookies, storage, or identifiers, including:

  • Supabase for authentication, database, and account/session services.
  • Cloudinary for profile photos, driver documents, vehicle photos, and support attachments.
  • Paystack for payment initialization, verification, refunds, and transaction records.
  • Google Maps services for maps, location, address, and geocoding features.
  • Email, web push, and WhatsApp/Meta-related services for service communications where enabled.

6. Managing Cookies and Storage

  • You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings.
  • You can uninstall or clear storage for the Android app from your device settings.
  • You can disable location and notification permissions through browser or Android permission settings.
  • Blocking essential storage may sign you out, break OTP/authentication, prevent dashboards from loading, disable push notifications, or affect booking and driver features.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when our app, PWA, Android wrapper, providers, or storage practices change. The latest version will be posted on this page.
